Like the Borg Viacom is trying to assimilate the Internet, but this time resistance is not futile

Welcome. For those of you who don't know Viacom has attempted to shut down several Internet sites by asking them to remove all detailed summaries, full scripts, excerpts of full scripts, photographs, artistic rendering of Star Trek characters, sound files, video clips, books, excerpts of books, or basically anything that Paramount can legally hold a copyright for from their web site.

While paramount definitely has a legal right to do this I feel that what they are doing is down right stupid and will only hurt them in the long run and I am determined to knock some sense into them.

So, I created this page. I have decided that this pages role in the Protest would be to serve as an archive of all available information on the topic so that you can respond to Viacom's action in an intelligent manner. So, I am asking that all protest sites include a link to this page in an obvious place (ie not as part of a long list). I have created several ribbons for you use if you so desire. I will very soon create a page will a list off all the sites that link to this one in some way.

Please look any of the information that you have not seen before as I am sure you will find it very useful. Items with a * next to them are stuff that are unique to this site. If you have anything to add please let me know. I can be contacted at kevinatk@home.com

Sample letters to send

The following is a collection of letters by various people that were sent to Viacom. I strongly encourage you to combine the best parts of all these letters in a letter of your own rather than using one of these. A personalized letter is always more effective. If you sent a letter please give me a copy so I can post it here.
